Hey, Rene.

Cyclone Rene is on her way! Good news - no school today! Bad news - its a cyclone... We have battened down the hatches (boarded up the big windows) bought water and some extra food and are getting ready for a windy night.

This year has proved to be chalk-full of new weather experiences for me with the earthquakes, tsunami, and now a cyclone. Let's just hope it doesn't do as much damage as the other phenomena did. I'd have a pretty complete set of experience if we just had a torna... maybe I shouldn't even suggest it...

 

Power is going out soon, but hopefully I will be back online sometime tomorrow. Yay for new experiences!
