The Definition of Fun

Here a little sample of the conversation I had with some of my seniors this afternoon after they had finished with their quiz:

Me: Nah, school in the states is still fun but they do take things like fighting and cheating much more seriously than they are taken here.

Kid 1: Oh that makes sense cause my mom said that my six grade cousin got kicked out of school in Seattle because he smashed a Mexico kid’s head against the chalkboard and made him bleed!

[Raucous laughter erupts from the boys sitting in on the conversation]

Kid 2: See Miss Kate, you can’t have no fun at school in the states!
