Not surprisingly when I told my kids about Earth Day none of them had any idea what I was talking about. Their journal entry for today was, “How can you celebrate Earth Day?” and it received many interesting responses.
“I will eat good foods like apple.”
“I will recycle all the blastics.”
“My family and I watch all the little kids and play.”
“I will clean up all the rubbish and burn it by the house.”
“We should run naked under the moon tonight.”
BONUS: Today I also gave a quiz to one of my classes on the skeletal system and one of the questions was: “What are joints and how do they help you?”
I should have known better…
“Joint are a way to smoke the weed and it help because it make you all happy and fun and stuff.”
